The Journey East

JOURNEY PROCESS - TEENAGERS (13 TO 18 YEARS)

A teenager can go for a one-on-one Journey process with a preferred Journey therapist or attend a Teen Journey workshop (see the FAQs page on this website) for a day, with other teenagers.

In both cases, a Teen Journey process usually takes between 20 minutes and 1 hour, though it can take anything between the length of a Journey process with a child and that with an adult. A special Journey process is used for this age group, which is an adaptation of the adult Journey process. Methods employed will depend on the teenager concerned, their specific issue and their individual needs.

As with children, Journey processes with teenagers are fully confidential. This is unless the Journey therapist has reason to fear for their safety, in which case they will contact the police. Additionally the Journey therapist will make only general comments to parents/significant adults, leaving the teenager to manage for themselves who they want to tell and what they want to say about what happened during their Journey process.
